My husband bought me this camera for my birthday, as we were taking a vacation with our kids. The camera comes with a very minimal amount of charge. I charged the camera according to the directions and thought I was set to go. I got 9minutes 54 seconds of record time on my vacation and was not able to charge it again. I realized that when you connect to the USB on the computer, a message appears after a while that says "charging paused battery too hot." It does not charge again after that. The company was of no help. They acted like they've never heard of such a problem. I looked on line and saw all the reviewers with the same problem, so I am sure they've gotten many calls on this subject. They wanted me to send my 1 week old camera to their offices so the engineers could determine what was wrong and repair it. I thought that was ridiculous and returned it instead. I would have loved to buy another one, however, seeing how widespread the problem was I decided not to. On a good note, the camera took great video (but lacks image stabilzation), the sound was great and I loved viewing the videos on my PC and then snapping a still shot from the video itself. I hope they resolve this problem because it really is a very cool camera.
