
Within 30 days of purchase, this Ultra HD began displaying the oft-reported error "It's really hot - need to cool down" every time it powered up. Occurred even after sitting in a cool room for over 24 hours. Apparently this is a known problem that the Flip people deal with fairly often. They were very ready to address the issue, but unfortunately the unit has to be sent in for repair, which is "two to three weeks after we receive it".
I appreciate their willingness to fix the device on warranty without complaint, but I think that they should just send a new camera rather than make the customer wait while they try to fix the old one.
