
I got the camera from Amazon. Takes very nice videos. I plugged it into the usb port to charge the battery. With in 30 seconds I got a message on the screen that said"charging paused, check battery pack" The camera was only a week old. I called Amazon and explained what was happening. The customer service rep was extremely polite and said he will send a replacement.The replacement came in only two days. Amazon is a wonderful company to do business with. Back to the camera! This one also has the same problem. I did a search on Google and found out that the Flip Ultra HD does have a charging problem. You get a message saying " charging pause check battery pack" and another message saying, battery over heating.I didn't get that message due to the fact my battery didn't charge long enough for this to happen. I called Flip and got two different solutions. Take out the battery and let it completely discharge and put it back and charge it. I am still waiting for it to discharge. The other tech said,take out the battery,plug the camera into the usb port,wait and then put the battery into the camera while it is still plugged in. That on didn't work. It sounds as if Cisco which now is the parent company of Flip know about this problem. I feel they should make sure the issue with the Ultra HD is fixed and all the customers with this problem are satisfied with a replacement battery that will charge.Get more detail about Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black).
