Perfect for my needs is the best way to sum up my experience with this camcorder. When my now 2 year old daughter was born I bought a "regular" camcorder that recorded on DVDs. It was okay, but I never used it because the menu was complicated, it was just one more thing to carry and took too long to deal with overall. I have been using the video function on my camera to take short videos instead, but bought this to improve the quality of my videos. I researched and ultimately bought this Flip UltraHD a few weeks ago and WOW - too bad I didn't buy it earlier. To be brief- it is simple (incredibly so)to use, the quality of the videos is beautiful, audio excellent and it is affordable. Even though the previous reviewers who said it is sensitive to movement are right, I am 100% happy with this purchase and would buy it over and over again. I can now follow my 2 year old daughter around and take lots of 2-5 minute videos in addition to using it to film longer moments.
