Flip Share software embedded in the camera is easy to use and always with you for use away from home. The most exciting feature we found in the software is the ability to view and capture individual frame shots as high quality JPEG images. At 30 frames per second, it's easy to capture that perfect still photo of fast moving subjects.
The Flip Ultra HD does not have image stabilization like larger, more expensive camcorders but a little practice with camera holding technique produces steady images. For highest quality images rest the camera on a steady surface, use a simple stick mount or a tripod.
Be aware of the computer system requirements for the Flip Ultra HD Flip Share software. They are not kidding about the requirement for a 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor. Flip Share performance on a 3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo PC with 4 Gigs of RAM is smooth and fast. Experiments on a 1.6 GHz PC with 2 Gigs of RAM, failed.
