We had the same problem as some some others here, it wouldn't recharge, so my husband got out his little electrical engineering tools and proceeded to void the warranty. He found that if the battery is too completely discharged, it won't come up unless the camera is already booted, so he took the battery out, plugged it into the computer and booted it, and then put the battery back in while it was still on. It started charging immediately.
The application for the camera is on the camera itself, instead of a disk, so in one way it's handy, but don't mess around and erase it, because if you lose the memory you have no disk to back it up again and it doesn't look like it's protected memory. I'm sure they have a website where you can download something or maybe order a disk, but it seems like it would be a hassle.
It doesn't do well in low light. Our indoor videos didn't turn out well. It's fine outdoors, though.
The size is nice, the quality of the picture is good, the controls are easy and convenient, and the recording time is sufficient.
I only gave three stars because of the recharging thing, not everyone is an electrical engineer or married to one. Get more detail about Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black).
