After all the hype and reviews of the UltraHD I though this would be a no-brainer. I picked one up from Best Buy on Tuesday. (They weren't even on display yet) My intentions were to give this to my wife so she could take 'good' (not great) videos of our baby on-the-go. We were both disappointed with the video quality with any level of zoom and the image stabilization was non-existent. It was like watching a video taken from the old camcorder. I've since returned the device and will be wading thru the market once again.

Thanks to all who left comments. They are right on the money. I think the Flip does have a place in the market. As one poster put it "it is what it is". I simply feel the product was over hyped. It may be HD but the video quality is still poor by most standards. I'll be checking out your suggestions. Get more detail about Flip UltraHD Camcorder, 120 Minutes (Black).
